Research Interest: Vascular and Endovascular Surgery
I am a surgeon with more than 10 years of experience in vascular
surgery. My mission is to repair arteries and, in this area, my clinical and
research activity is focused on aneurysms, aortic diseases, obstructive disease
and diabetic foot. Actually, my research lines develop on two experimental
streams. The first one is oriented on problem solving of technical and
technological issues in the arterial surgery area. The second one focuses on
implementation, in arterial surgery, of modern technologies such as Artificial
Intelligence, Robotic surgery, and biotechnologies such as Bioprinting,
Regenerative Medicine, Bioinformatics.
I believe that the combined action on these two fronts can contribute to
the development of Vascular Surgery of the future.
Parallel to my activity as a surgeon, I am therefore trying to organize a transversal study group in which to bring together the professional figures pertaining to the aforementioned fields of study; I have not yet succeeded in achieving this aim, but my scientific efforts are concentrated in this direction.
